With the support and guidelines of her Father, Mr. Shaikh Mohiuddin Saheb Kolkar,she started "Madrasa Niswan Ishatul Islam", an Urdu and Arabic Development Society .
Dr. Nowhera is also well known for her views on the importance of educating Muslim women and as an educationalist of repute.
Dr. Shaik has followed her father's footstep from a very early age by supporting him in his business activities even during her school days.
Dr. Shaikh Kolkar Madaar Saheb, grandfather of Ms.Shaikh was a successful business man who st
arted S.N.S. Transports in 1920, and found success in the wholesale business of vegetables, fruits and textile products across the entire county.
The high spiritual and religious cultural and business background was inherited by Dr. Nowhera Shaik.
As a President of a reputed Muslim women's organization, At-Tawheed International Dawah Centre for Women, Dr. Nowhera has been supporting a great number of poor and downtrodden Muslim women by engaging in multiple charitable activities.
The organization has chapters in different cities of India and the Middle East.
Christians have church and catechism where children learn on God, Hindus have temple and Bhagavat Gita class, Jewish community have Synagogue and Muslims have Mosque and Educational Madrassa from age 5.
In Muslim Community, the children are taught to read Quran from age 5. By this more than 80% of the muslims are able to read Quran in its original Arabic text. It is through Madrassa that one carries their moral values all through their lives. Thanks to Madrassa for having taught them on the Allah and His teachings and in reading the Holy Quran.
